School Security Officers

Arrow Security, Inc. is currently recruiting for School Security Officers.
Some expectations of a School Security Officer are:
- Patrol the school campus and areas around the school including unsupervised areas.
- Intervene in activities that may result in injury and encourage students to not participate in such conduct.
- Serve as a role model for students in behavior, attire, and professional grooming.
- Help supervise arrival and dismissal of students as well as breakfast and lunch periods.
- Help students to get to class on-time and ensure a smooth flow of traffic through the hallways.
- Intercept visitors and check for proper identification and escort to exits if not authorized.
- Notify police and emergency personnel when there is an emergency or unusual situation.
- Notify the correct personnel when there is evidence of substance abuse, severe medical conditions, child abuse, potential suicide, alcohol abuse, etc.
- Assist police, fire personnel, and other emergency crews when necessary.
These are merely the basic day to day functions of the position. Other duties and responsibilities may be required based on the needs of the school campus.
All School Security Officers must be thoroughly trained and vetted prior to being assigned to a School Campus. Part of the vetting process requires that applicants work for a minimum of 90 days as either an Armed or Unarmed Security Officer for our company. This period of time gives us the opportunity to observe the recruit’s attendance, performance, professionalism, appearance, personality and make sure they are the right fit for our schools. During this period of time recruits will be paid a standard security officer rate between $16.00 and $22.00 per hour based on location, experience and armed / unarmed status.
High school diploma or GED preferred. Completion of security training and willingness to complete additional required school safety courses.
